MITCO Sdn Bhd

    MITCO Sdn Bhd (MITCO) has been established principally to market products manufactured by PETRONAS' petrochemical plants. It leverages on the synergistic advantages of the strategic development of two integrated petrochemical complexes (IPCs) along the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia and the consistent production of large volumes of petrochemicals from these plants.

    PETRONAS' petrochemical plants make up a majority of the installations within the IPCs. Together with these IPCs, MITCO constitutes an integral part of PETRONAS' aspiration to transform Malaysia into a regional petrochemical hub.

    This is in view of Malaysia’s location as a strategic gateway to the huge and high growth markets of the Asia Pacific region as well as its accessibility to the reliable and stable supply of gas feedstock required by the petrochemical plants through the Peninsular Gas Utilisation (PGU) system, a trans-peninsular gas transmission pipeline system developed by PETRONAS to tap the country's abundant gas reserves.

    As the main marketing arm for PETRONAS’ petrochemical products, MITCO has fully harnessed the resources and building blocks within its parent company's integrated business value chain. This allowed MITCO to emerge as a leading marketer of chemicals, fertilisers and polymer products in the South East Asia region.

    While our headquarters is based in Kuala Lumpur, we have established a global business presence in over 30 countries and a network of representative offices in Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, China, India and the United Arab Emirates.
